Cover reveal for Alphabet Dating – out in April

    3/22/2013

    Alphabet Dating Cover
    Alphabet Dating

Serena’s friends have a plan to get her dating again – 26 dates in a month – one for every letter in the alphabet. What could possibly go wrong?

When Serena Sanders reluctantly agrees to participate in the Alphabet Dating Plan she knows it will be tough but there’s so much she hadn’t factored in. Who knew men were so complicated? Not Serena.

As she begins dating her way through the alphabet she starts to learn more about herself and her friends than she ever expected as secrets and hidden agendas are revealed. Alphabet Dating is a love story – a tale of lost love, unrequited love, platonic love and ultimately it’s about learning to love again.

New York City BridgeSo this week should be an exciting one here on the blog because I hope to be able to reveal the cover for Alphabet Dating at long last. I’m really hoping you’re going to like it.

I’m also going to run the blurb and an excerpt so you’ll know loads more about the book by the end of the week.

I can tell you that while Serena the main character is Australian the novel is set mainly in and around New York City.

    Summer in the city

    1/18/2013

Beach Hat, Towel and Wine on SandIt’s a very hot summer in my little corner of the world this year. Yesterday Sydney had it’s hottest day on record – ever. It was 46degrees celsius which translates to 114 degrees Fahrenheit. That is hot. I really like the heat but that’s too hot even for me.

Of course that day was exceptional. I was meant to write or rather to edit Alphabet Dating yesterday but I could not think straight and as that book is set in wintery climes, well it was too much for my poor heat-addled brain to take on.

The heat has meant we’ve been hitting the beach and the Harbour a lot, which has been lovely. I thought I’d share with you a few shots I took last weekend when we were out on our boat.

Not for any reason other than it’s nice to see other parts of the world and how other people live. Well, I think it is but I am a notorious sticky-beak.

Did someone say summer? You know me and the seasons. I titled the first part of House for all Seasons ‘surviving summer’. I must have known something. hope you are surviving the heat. And do I recognise good old Sydney waterways?

    Best dates and worst dates…

    12/11/2012

Romantic couple with BalloonsI’m busy working on getting my third novel ready for release in January.

The book is called Alphabet Dating and it’s the story of a girl (Serena) whose friends set her up on twenty-six dates in a month – you guessed it, one for every letter of the alphabet.

Obviously I had to think up lots of interesting dates for Serena to go on – some fabulous and some a whole lot less fabulous.

So best dates, worst dates…we’ve all had them.

Share your story with me. Don’t worry the book is already written so I’m not going to steal your story (well not for this book anyway!)

I haven’t been on any really bad dates, which is lucky for me…or if I have I’ve expunged the memory. Oh I did go to a dance once with a guy who refused to dance…that was a pretty dud experience but I think that’s not uncommon. Sad though because I do love to dance…

Great dates…I’ve had a few of those…what about you?
